TOUR DATES... The 2021 National Historic District / Cradle of Our Nation Tours, sponsored by The Historical Association of Annapolis Royal, have been postponed due to knee replacement surgery. No tours are scheduled, and they doubtful for 2021. Start date for 2022 is June 1. Reservations are not necessary.

PROGRAM INFO... Journey along one of North America's oldest thoroughfares with internationally-acclaimed heritage interpreter, Alan Melanson, and explore the Cradle of Our Nation. Stroll through the scenic National Historic District -- the largest in Canada. The first capital of Nova Scotia and one of the most fought-over tracts of land in the colonization of North America, Annapolis Royal is a community with an epic saga to relate. From Port Royal 1605, one of the country's oldest permanent European settlements, to winner of "World's Most Liveable Small Community" in 2004, cultures and events have intertwined to form a colourful mosaic unparalleled in Canada. The National Historic District Tour brings the area's history to life and is an excellent visitor orientation to this unique region -- showcasing both past and present.
