The Annapolis Royal Lighthouse, owned and operated by The Historical Association of Annapolis Royal, was built in 1889 and needs significant structural work in order to preserve it. The Historical Association entered it in the THIS LIGHTHOUSE MATTERS CONTEST in 2015 in hopes of winning the funding needed to repair it. We were in competition with 26 other lighthouses. Our Candlelight Graveyard Tour participants from throughout the world helped us by voting for the Annapolis Royal Lighthouse.

With 27,048 votes WE WON 1ST PLACE AND $40,000 towards our preservation efforts. Thank you to everyone who voted to help save this important Canadian treasure!
